Does the amount of money you have dictate the amount of hope you have? Would you rather listen to nails claw down a chalkboard than talk about your budgeting life? Have you considered what it means to you for money to be fully integrated into your life, including your relationship with God?
Join us as we take a journey with Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU), contextualized for the Servant Church community’s concerns. We will meet for 9 weeks of 2-hour sessions to gain a sturdy spiritual and practical groundwork toward a healthy financial life. This contextualized facilitation of FPU has a track record of creating space for spiritual transformation and long-term healthy budget behaviors, not to mention massive debt reduction.
Rev. Carrie Graham, the first director of Austin Seminary’s Ministers Facing Money program, will facilitate the sessions each week. She is experienced in facilitating FPU to meet a specific audience’s theologies and needs, as well as in providing pastoral consultations around finances.
Participants are encouraged to take the class with your household – childcare is provided – and single folks can bring a friend free of charge. The cost is $93 for materials, payable at servantchurchaustin.org/give. Please register at the link below in addition to making payment at the SC website.
Face money with your faith, not your fear. Allow the hope of Christ to navigate your money, not vice versa.
